Colonel Sanders goes to Rome and gets a special meeting with
the Pope. He offers him a deal. A million dollars to change
the words in The Lords Prayer from "give us this day our daily
bread..." The Pope tells him no, old traditions and rituals
cannot be changed for money, forget it. Colonel Sanders
repeatedly raises his offer until it reaches a billion dollars.
At that point the Pope repeats his refusal but offers, I'll
tell you what, the answer is no, but I will call a meeting of
the Bishops and see if any of them have any ideas.
The Pope does call a meeting of the Bishops and tells them he has
good news and bad news. The good news is that he has an opportunity
to get them a considerable amount of money. The bad news is that they
will probably lose there account with "Wonder Bread".
