White Chocolate Chip Cookies

makes about 3½ dozen

• 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened.
• 1 cup packed brown sugar.
• 1½ cup sugar.
• 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract.
• 2 eggs.
• 3 cups unsifted flour.
• ½ teaspoon baking soda.
• 1 teaspoon salt.
• 11 oz. package Ghiradelli Classic White Baking Chips.
• 1½ cups chopped Macadamia nuts (optional).

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time and beat well. Blend in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in white chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
