  • 2 lbs. ground beef.
  • 2 eggs.
  • 1/3 cup ketchup.
  • ¾ cup plain dry bread crumbs.
  • 1 envelope Lipton Onion or Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix.
  • ¾ cup water.
  1. Preheat oven to 350°. In large bowl, combine all ingredients.
  2. In 13 x 9-inch baking or roasting pan, shape into loaf.
  3. Bake 1 hour or until done. Let stand 10 minutes.

  • 1½ pounds lean ground beef.
  • 1 egg or 2 egg whites, lightly beaten.
  • 1 cup tomato juice or tomato sauce.
  • ¾ cup Quaker Oats (uncooked).
  • ¼ cup chopped onion.
  • ½ teaspoon salt.
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
  • MIX-INS: Customize meatloaf by adding one of the following
    • ½ cup frozen (thawed) or canned (drained) corn.
    • ½ cup chopped green or red bell pepper.
    • 2.5-ounce jar sliced mushrooms (drained).
    • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
    • 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley or cilantro.
  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. In large bowl, combine all ingredients, mix lightly but thoroughly.
  3. Press meatloaf mixture into 8×4-inch loaf pan.
  4. Bake 1 hour or until meatloaf is to medium doneness (160°F) and center is no longer pink. Let meatloaf stand 5 minutes, drain off any juices before slicing.
  5. TOPPINGS:
    • After removing meatloaf from oven and draining, sprinkle with 1 cup shredded cheese. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
    • Spoon prepared spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, barbecue sauce or salsa over each serving.
