ANOLON

Designed For Easy Use & Care

  1. SEASON YOUR PAN BEFORE USING.
Wash your pan with mild dishwashing detergent, rinse, and dry. Then "condition" the nonstick surface by rubbing a light cooking oil across the surface. Wipe off the excess oil with a paper towel. Periodically "condition" your pan to preserve the nonstick finish.
  2. ALWAYS USE MEDIUM HEAT.
Because hard-anodized aluminum possesses superior heat conductivity, there is no need for hight heat. To brown or sear foods, preheat pan on medium heat for one minute. Continuous hight heat may coause stocking and discoloration. You'll be surprised at how little heat you need!
  3. NONSTICK COOKING SPRAYS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED.
Thes sprays burn at very low temperatures, creating a surface residue that may affect the pan's nonstick performance.
  4. USE OIL SPARINGLY.
If you prefer to use oil for flavor, olive oir or peanut oil is recommended. Heavy vegetable oils may leave a residue that can affect nonstick performance.
  5. SHARP EDGED UTENSILS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED.
Sharp edged metal utensils such as forks and knives may scratch the nonstick surface. Although minor scratches will not affect the nonstick performance, Circulon Kitchen Tools, plastic or wooden utensils are recommended to keep our pans looking and performing their best.
  6. WASH PANS THOROUGHLY AFTER EACH USE.
Use a mild dishwashing detergent and warm water. This will remove food and grease particles that may burn when your pan is reheated. If food remains on the surface, boil a mixture of water and vinegar to dislodge food particles.
  7. AVOID THE DISHWASHER.
It is not recommended to wash hard-anodized cookware in the dishwasher. The high temperatures and harsh detergents of dishwashers will discolor your pans. Since DuPont Autograph® nonstick is so easy to clean, most people prefer handwashing.
  8. OVEN COOKING.
Cookware with phenolic handles is oven safe to 350 degrees. If your Meyer 5 Star Cookware has stainless steel handles (including Circulon ovenware), it is oven safe to 500 degrees. Now you can start a dish on the stovetop and finish it in the oven for easy, one dish meals. Just remember to use potholders when removing the pan from the oven.
  9. SCRATCHES, MARKS AND STAINS, ETC.
Occasionally, a scratch may appear on the hard-anodized exterior. Remove by rubbing with a damp cloth. To remove stubborn spots on the cooking surface, use a nonabrassive plastic mesh purr or pad, such as ScotchbriteTM. Do not use steel wool, coarse scouring pads or powder. A spotted white film from food starch or minerals may forms on the nonstick surface. The film can easily be removed with a mild solution of water and lemon juice or vinegar. Then wash, rinse, and recondition. Do not use oven cleaners.
